Compass Double 4" Siding
Double 4" traditional lap siding is patterned after v-groove lap siding. This siding commonly has a 4" panel exposure, at least a 5/8" projection that creates a realistic and dramatic shadow line, and is often used for a more historic look and decorative accents.
Compass Double 4.5" Dutch Lap Siding
Dutch Lap has flat panels that overlap each other with a shiplap joint, with a decorative groove between the laps. This groove improves strength, creates a narrow reveal line that adds visual interest and creates deeper shadow lines.
